Described as having “soul-stirring vocals” (Plastic Magazine), and influenced by FKA twigs, as well as “reminiscent of The Japanese House” (Jarred Up), Cherry Seraph is the solo alt-pop electronic project of queer Leeds-based producer, artist and multi-instrumentalist Sophie Russell. She has had support from BBC Introducing, Launchpad Leeds, was coined by Leeds’ Crash Records as ‘The Next Big Thing’ and has completed several artist residencies. Russell stepped out in 2023 to play her first intimate live gig as Cherry Seraph in Paris and has since continued performing in various venues, including The Bodega and Sage 2, with more dates locked in for an upcoming autumn tour. Expect a night of electronic and ethereal vibes. Support artists include equally stunning electronic artists, VERA SACRA and Nylon Nyeshi.
